Zenigata Sand Art & Ibukijima

Zenigata

Zenigata Sand Art

A large-scale sand art depicting "Kanto-Tsuho" (ancient Japanese coin) on Ariakehama Beach.
Diameter of approximately 122m and circumference of approximately 345m.
According to legend, it was created in one night in 1633 to welcome a feudal lord's visit.
Viewed from the observation deck, it's said to bring good fortune and prosperity.

Ibukijima
Pine & Ibukijima

Ibukijima Island

Located approximately 10km west of Kanonji port, floating in the Hibinada Strait.
Famous as Japan's premier producer of "iriko" (dried small fish).
The island serves as an experimental field for seaweed cultivation.
Preserves a unique "Showa-era" landscape with traditional narrow streets.

Shino-Michi Path

The Path of Purpose

Shino-Michi

The "Path of Purpose" (Shino-Michi) stretches approximately 2km into the mountains.
Stone monuments bearing the wisdom of past generations speak silently to those who visit.
The teachings of Toshio Doko, Issai Sato, and Sadatake Iba โ€” figures of historical significance โ€”
stand quietly in nature, offering guidance and inspiration.
